UPDATE 6/17 5:15 pm EST

Here is where we stand.

Currently there are two supported methods of remediation.

The system is taken offline and the primary drive is set removed and aside. The OS is then reinstalled and the primary drive is set as a secondary drive and then mounted so that files can be restored. The system will be offline for the duration of the reinstall as well as the recovery.

Another option is to speak with our sales team and purchase a new system with a freshly installed OS so that the data can be migrated while keeping the infected server online until the migration is completed.

Will be discussing the options, but it looks like we will be taking the server down to reinstall, as long as it does not require me to do something technologically adept like make a back-up of stuff I do not know how to back up. :)

This will give me at least three months to work with Walter at squidge.org and get that process rolling. Because that process might be less work than trying to migrate it all to AO3.
