Application
Roommates
Students will complete a roommate profile. Profiles include a name, bio, and roommate questionnaire. Once complete, a student can add a specific roommate by GatorLink username or view potential roommate matches.
Yes, our residence halls house first-year and upper-level students together. Living with an upper-level student is often a great idea because your new roommate will typically know all the ins and outs of living on campus.
Room Types
Apartment Style halls are shared by four students. Each student has the option of having a shared room or their own room as well as a shared kitchen, bathroom, and common living space. The Residence Halls with an apartment style layout include: Beaty Towers, Lakeside Residential Complex, and Keys Residential Complex.
Rooms of this type typically have shared bedrooms and a connecting bathroom that is shared with 2-6 students in total who may live in separate bedrooms. Residence Halls with a Suite Style layout include Cypress Hall, Hume Hall, Infinity Hall, and Springs Residential Complex.
In a Traditional Style Residence Halls student will share a room with up to four students, and have a community bathroom that is shared by the floor. This is the most common Residence Hall room style on campus and is available in 22 halls across campus.

Accommodations
Agreements
Yes, a list of approved pets and the pet policy may be found in Housing and Residence Life’s Community Standards. Pets are defined as non-service animals or emotional support animals (ESAs). Students wishing to bring their pet(s) to live with them in a university residence hall/apartment must contact the Housing Office before bringing their pet to live with them. The student can contact our office via email at [email protected] or by phone at 352.846.4844 to request the pet policy agreement form(s). The student must submit the form(s) within 48 hours from the time that our office emails the form to the resident.
Furniture
Packages
You will have three business days to pick up your package before it is returned to the sender. If your package is delivered during a holiday break, please contact the area office to have them hold the package until you return.
Graduate and Family Housing
Application
Graduate and Family Housing applications can be completed at any time. Graduate and Family Housing is in high demand. It is recommended that students start searching for apartments at least 90 days prior to their preferred move in date in the event an apartment is not offered by that date.
Your Graduate and Family Housing application places you on our waitlist to be offered an apartment.
When apartments are available, an offer will be emailed to you. Due to high demand, the current wait for an apartment offer is 2-3 years. You should only expect to receive one apartment offer.
Students may live in on-campus housing as long as they are enrolled in a degree-seeking course. Students in village communities must submit a Notice of Intent to Vacate (NIV) at least 60 days prior to vacating the apartment. To give notice students must submit a Notice of Intent to Vacate in the HMS housing portal, found at hms.housing.ufl.edu.
Eligibility
Undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students, with their spouse, children, and certain pets approved in the Community Standards.
No, if you are enrolled in at least one credit hour that counts towards your degree, you are eligible to live on campus.
Yes, if you submit a Non-Enrolled Petition and it is approved by our staff. You must have been enrolled for the past two consecutive semesters and will only be able to stay one extra semester while you're not enrolled.
Students will need to provide English translated marriage certificates, birth certificates or F-1 visas. Students may also provide domestic partnership certifications.

Students can visit the Area Office for assistance with moving in, move out inspections, lockouts or any questions you may have.
The Corry Village office is open 24 hours. Diamond and Tanglewood are open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 - 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on weekends.
Apartment Transfers
Graduate and Family Housing residents can request a transfer after living in the space for 180 days.
Graduate and Family Housing apartment transfers are offered on a priority basis. For example, students expecting a child will be given priority to transfer to a two bedroom apartment over a student who has a location preference.
