Dennis Cahlo
Dennis Cahlo is a self-taught musician, filmmaker, photographer, cinematographer, and actor. He caught the horror bug early in life when he stumbled upon "The Haunting of Julia" on daytime television. This chance meeting sparked a lifelong obsession with moody, macabre movies. After touring the world extensively with his band The Realistics in the early 2000s, Dennis shifted focus to photography and filmmaking, making his first short film, a sensitive drama entitled The Weekend, in 2015. The film was met with widespread praise and awards, leading to his 2019 short horror comedy Lonely Hearts. This film caught the eye of Tony Wash, Bloody Disgusting's Screambox program director, who approached Dennis and his partner, Bethany Watson (Showrunner, Former Co-Host of Elvis Duran In The Morning), to create an original series for the platform. After recruiting the help of head writer Will Rogers (Guide To The Unknown Podcast, Blackwood Audio Horror) the four created The Trouble With Tessa a six-episode limited series that has debuted at #2 on Screambox. Dennis has a love for coffee, cats, anything Italian, and, of course, gore.
