join halo and her friends as they struggle w/ love, frienships, betrayal, sex (xD) and a lot of other stuff!!!!
(R&R plz!! dont hate this is my first fic :3)
Folks, this has the potential to be the "My Immortal" of Riordan fandom.
In other news, I've decided Khione will be my villain. She caused a lot of trouble because of her ambitions in The Heroes of Olympus (she wants to overthrow her father, Boreas) and would totally steal the MacGuffin to rewrite reality, she's got colorful sidekicks Harry will enjoy insulting, and being a snow goddess, she brings in the whole Winter Court thing. So! Fun!
Boi this is gay tbh. It's also fucking shit whoops I'm sorry
is not a fic summary. It's an admission you shouldn't be writing anything, up to and including today's date.
Grr.
I am finding some really good stories, mind you. There are some really good writers, including one who's managed, somehow, to suck me into Ye Olde High School AU. I'll have to do a fic recs post one of these times. Meanwhile, I'm continuing to write my story, which has mutated severely.
Title: Becoming Us (Part 3 of ?) Fandom: Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Related Fandoms Characters/Relationships: Nico di Angelo/Will Solace, Jason Grace/Piper McLean, Percy Jackson/Annabeth Chase, other canon pairings and loads and loads of characters Rating: General Summary: Starting with the three days in the infirmary, Nico di Angelo learns how to heal as he and Will Solace negotiate their relationship, discovering how two people so unlike each other can become "Us."
From dw_ficsearch: hi i'm looking for an au were rose was a call girl and nine was her client. i think he wioed her mories in the end. can any one hel me?
The first bit is comprehensible, but I don't know how one would "wioed her mories", or even if I hold truck with that sort of thing.
Considering that the poster goes on to request Ten/Rose noncon, perhaps it's better that I don't know.
Not since Tsp. instituted their new rules for summaries. This one, though--it frightens me:
My Night With the Doctor by [Why, Sweet Rassilon, Why?] [Reviews - 4] So yeah, I totally spent the night with the Doctor last Sunday night. What went down? Well sheesh, I took all the time and trouble to write out the story, so I'm not going to give you any spoilers here. Except to say that I don't ususally invite strangers home. Honest. Oh, my name's Abby, by the way.
I have nothing to add to this except to ask what the heck "ususally" means.
So, I was trawling through FFN, searching for a Hairspray fic I'd seen once and lost track of, when I came across this summary:
Tracy is leaving boltemore. she is leaving Link and she promise she wouldent cry anymore but she couldent hold itsongfic big girls dont cry
What can one say to that, after all?
As to the fic I was looking for, someone on my flist once recced a Hairspray fic in which Corny's sympathy for integration came partially from the fact that he was gay and leading a double life. It was really very good, and I'd like to find it again. Anybody have a clue what fic I'm talking about?
(One of the reasons I liked it so much was that it's long been my personal fanon that Corny goes home to his loving boyfriend every night and fears Velma will catch on and ruin him. Honestly, it makes sense in my head.)
Sort of missing scene after Doomsday. This idea suddenly came to me about an hour ago and so i write about it. Jeeze, and i realised i still havent finished "Green and Blue Converse Trainers". Oh well. *Bangs head on desk*
Honey, quit banging your head on the desk. It's taken a toll, if this summary's any indication.
In other news, having watched Neverwhere, I'm now fully aboard the "Paterson Joseph (Rodrick in "Bad Wolf") for Eleven" train (so to speak). He's amazing as the Marquis de Carabas, a character Neil Gaiman admits to partially modeling on the Doctor. But he's perfect--he's got the intelligence, the resourcefulness, the vanity, the mischievousness, the humor, even the subtle sense of menace that the Doctor should have; and Joseph carries it off with no obvious effort. He'd be terrific. I certainly wouldn't be bothered that they're re-using an actor, and it's not like there's no precedent.
What happens when Owen is hurt but why Tosh, Ianto and Jack are at the hospital, someone who Gwen travelled with a long time ago comes back and she takes off just as Jack did.
This, I'm flocking, because I'm about to tear into a fic at Tsp. like a ravenous wolf into a caribou carcass.
The Doctor is jealous – and the consequences are severe. Non-graphic rape.
I spotted the above summary and thought to myself, "Nah--no one would go there, right?" Thus, I decided, in a fit of masochism, to skim it to see if someone, indeed, would.
The premise of the fic? The Doctor *rapes* Rose shortly after "Dalek." Afterward, he's horrified at what he's done and leaves her at home. A few years later, he saves the planet again and ends up in the hospital, Rose ends up rescuing him before he can get turned into a science experiment and feels SORRY FOR HIM because he's gotten thin and has started--get this--cutting himself! So she mother-hens him back to health and agrees to go traveling with him again.
Of course, then we discover that the reason the Doctor raped her in the first place was because of some kind of alien mind-control mineral, which is supposed to make it all better. Naturally, at this point, Rose reveals that she's in love with him and always has been, yada yada.
First problem: Let's take the "alien mineral made him do it" seriously for a moment. What would Nine do if he suddenly lost control and raped Rose? Nine, remember--the guy with all the Time War baggage already sitting on his skull. That Nine. My guess is that he'd decide this regeneration had gone completely wrong and put an end to it. After dropping Rose back home, of course.
Second problem: Rose wouldn't just be angry, as she is in this fic. This isn't a guy getting fresh or even aggressive; this is sexual trauma, inflicted on her by someone who can go anywhere at any time. Even if he did voluntarily let her go, I don't imagine she'd ever get over the fear of seeing him again, even if he did save the human race. Because she's seen him do that, and she's seen him turn around and assault her. She would never, ever want to see him again.
Third problem: Let's just handwave the above and say Rose did happen to get aboard the TARDIS long enough for them to find out about the "alien mineral made him do it" MacGuffin. She's still a rape victim, and he's her assailant; they could never have a healthy sexual/romantic relationship.
*fumes*
Hands down the worst thing I've seen at Tsp., up to and including the Saxon Sue that keeps getting updated.
ETA: This fic, incidentally, has three *positive* reviews.
My goodness, this was beautiful! And it feels like something Lewis could have written….or at least, something he would have thoroughly approved of. Thank you for writing this, and for sharing it!
