I'm a postdoc in biochemistry. I'm trying to keep my faerie soul alive in my human body and reasonably happy-but-humdrum life. Or something.
I look for the mystery at the heart of the story, and the mythic threads that bind us all together.
Also, over the years I've gotten a fair number of questions about my choice of handle. I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but it has nothing to do with entropy and chickens. (rimshot) Rather, it's a reference to the CJ Cherryh Chanur series. These books were really important to me in high school, so referencing Hunter Captain Pyanfar seemed logical when I was creating a handle back in the day. Apparently I managed to mangle an obscure reference successfully enough that I've never met another one of me. Heheh.
