Ever since learning to read, I’ve been fascinated with words and the power they have to inform, entertain, persuade, and inspire action. After earning a degree in journalism, I made the writing and editing of words my profession. I’ve done everything from covering business news for a daily newspaper to editing an award-winning employee newsletter for a division of a Fortune Global 500 technology company, to redesigning and publishing a popular monthly newsletter for a segment of a large religious organization.
I recently enhanced my editorial skills by completing General Proofreading: Theory and Practice through Proofread Anywhere. In this course, I had the opportunity to proofread over 40 practice texts and succeeded in scoring 100% on the final exam.
Now, with almost two decades of writing, editing, and diverse communications experience under my belt, I’m writing my next chapter as a freelance copy editor and proofreader.
