Certified Proofreader Overview

I may be just out of the gate having earned my Master Certification in March 2025, but I’ve been working as a proofreader for years…without the credit or the pay.  If we agree to work together, I’ll finally get some pay and you’ll get all the credit for a product well-written.

I am comfortable in the academic space (most recent project was a K-12 Standards document for health education).  For the past seven years, I have mentored students through a rigorous writing curriculum.  My background also includes having taught middle and high school English and Spanish. I also would welcome the opportunity to proofread health and medical content, since I have worked as a radiologic transcriptionist, earned a Masters in Public Health, and been employed in various positions in health care delivery. This is not to say that I wouldn't be interested in working on material such as personal and professional/legal documents, blogs, speeches, menus, billboards, video captions, etc.
