She has a young, radiant aura that tends to either draw people in or push them away, and that innocence is the backbone behind her childlike demeanor.

Orihime has a tendency to drift away from reality and go off into her own world. She has a vivid imagination, coming up with very incomprehensible ideas, seen when she illustrated herself as a giant robot when presented with the question, "How do you see yourself in the future?" She also has the talent of making odd faces, and she has a knack for cooking and eating bizarre foods. Because she's often hung up in her own universe, she's very oblivious to her outside surroundings, and doesn't seem to pay any mind to anything that's out of her focus. But while her behavior can be questionable, it's all Orihime's way of enjoying life by being creative and innovative.

Her imaginative perceptions come hand-in-hand with her amicable personality. Her quirkiness gives her that added cuteness factor while her mellower, more rational side displays her generosity and her authenticity. While her ingenuity can make others laugh, her kindness leaves room for strong friendships. When it comes to her friends, Orihime will put all of them above her own well-being, and will do whatever she can in her power to ensure their safety, even if it means putting her life on the line. All she needs is for her friends to find happiness, and she takes it upon herself to try and pick them up whenever they're down.

You could label her a bag of sunshine, but you'd only be half right- because there's so much more complexity and sentimentality to Orihime that it wouldn't be right to only look at her as a ball of boundless energy. She's only human, and like everyone else, she can only take so much before she reaches her breaking point.

Orihime harbors many confidence issues and often struggles with having faith in her abilities as a fighter, as well as in herself as a person. She has her self-deprecating moments and tends to compare herself to others, sometimes undermining her sense of individuality. She often keeps her insecurities to herself, not wanting to burden others with them, though this is ultimately what eats her up from the inside; because once those anxieties are talked over, she feels a lot better about herself and finds new determination to overcome her flaws.

In terms of her confidence in her abilities in combat, it notably increases over time, seen when she states her resolve to grow stronger- and when she proves that she has- though she still understands that she still has a lot of work to do in order to become just as strong as her other friends. Even though she was told that her powers were god-like, Orihime hasn't expressed much interest in getting there as much as she has in becoming sturdy enough to defend others; she definitely isn't power-hungry, and, being a pacifist, would much rather not engage in combat in others unless she doesn't have a choice.

However, over time, Orihime has developed a stronger sense of conviction, showing less mercy towards her enemies when she sees that they aren't exactly right in the head. She has her priorities straightened out, being able to see the fine line between saving lives for the sake of saving lives, and saving lives for the sake of those who are worth saving. She has definitely progressed in this sense, not wanting her enemies to get away empty-handed if they've attacked one of her friends.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Despite her self-esteem issues, Orihime isn't one to give up on herself or others. She's not exactly goal-oriented, but she knows what she has to do in order to overcome her weaknesses; she just hasn't figured out how to go about with all of them. As long as her reasons are driven by the need to do something for others, she'll try her best to carry through with her desires.

Her self-sacrificial attitude has also brought her and others a long way; allowing herself to be taken captive to Heuco Mundo for the sake of keeping her friends safe, for example, not only spared the lives of her loved ones, but allowed them to defeat their most troublesome adversaries and to protect their hometown.

Orihime can also fend for herself even without her powers; she has the karate abilities of a black belt.

On the other hand, Orihime's very naive and can easily place herself in dangerous situations. She isn't stupid, but she doesn't always realize that things such as sliding down the gutter of a thirty-foot building aren't exactly going to keep her out of trouble.

Orihime's generosity has also made her do some ambiguous deeds, such as healing her enemies. Although she always goes into things with good intentions, she doesn't always do the right thing. While she hasn't done anything like the aforementioned act, her vision is now clouded by her desire to protect her loved ones. And even though risking her life once lead to a favorable outcome, it normally isn't the best thing for her comrades, for it usually only leads to more difficult situations that could have been avoided had she opted to walk away.

Her strange taste buds are caused by her horrible cooking skills; having lived alone since she was a child, Orihime had to learn how to make her own dishes, and it can be assumed that she simply got used to the foods she made and learned to like them.

Pokémon Information
Affiliation: Trainer
Starter: Happiny, "Ayame"
Password: Taco Bell!

Samples
First Person Sample: [ When the feed clicks on, Orihime's seated on a small patch of grass, looking excited to take ownership of the little Happiny sitting in her lap. She holds Happiny by the waist, giggling as she gazes at it with admiration. ]

Ahaha, you're so cute! [ Happiny squeals happily in response as Orihime inspects the Pokemon at eye-level. ] Ohh, you're so tiny, I can't battle with you, now can I?

Oh-! You must be hungry! [ And somewhere in Johto, a light bulb flickers on. ] I know! How about I make you some of my red bean casserole? Ooh, and I'll even put some green onions on it to give it more flavor!

[ Happiny appears to be very clueless at first (human food? What is human food?) but chooses to go along with it, nodding her head and making a tiny noise in response. Orihime suddenly looks a little more ecstatic, and she rises to her feet, hugging Happiny close to her bosom. ] Okay then, let's head to the market so I can buy some ingredients! I hope you like it, I don't normally bake the casserole enough but-- aaah!

[ And leave it to Orihime to trip over her own feet in the middle of heading to the 'mart, Happiny peeping in surprise. ]

Third Person Sample: When left with a Pokemon that isn't built to fight, battling other trainers is a tad more difficult. The first trainer Orihime met along the way was a youngster who seemed more than eager to beat her down, wearing a smirk the length of a banana on his face the entire time. It wasn't her choice to battle him, but he wouldn't let her pass him without a fight. He sent his Ratata at her Happiny with full force, the Ratata recklessly tackling Happiny left and right, much to Orihime's dismay.

Orihime lost her first battle in Johto, her poor Happiny worn out and motionless beneath Orihime's feet. Of course, after discovering that Pokemon normally only fought until the fainted and that healing came free of charge, Orihime felt a little better about her loss; but nonetheless, it was disheartening, in a very odd sense. She herself hadn't lost, it was her Happiny who did, and yet she felt a strong sense of responsibility that stirred her insides with guilt.

Not much later did Orihime realize that she needed to treat Happiny as if the Pokemon were a part of her. Her powers were gone now, and with the way the battling system worked, Orihime didn't need to exert herself; her victories, her losses, her ability to protect others here relied on an extension of her being, her Pokemon.

When Happiny woke up, Orihime apologized to her profusely, feeling responsible for losing the battle. Happiny didn't seem very upset at all but Orihime wasn't about to let her be without a proper apology. To have not recognized her role in this world is what caused their defeat, and she admit that she should have listened to the advice of some of the townsfolk in New Bark; she should have trained Happiny properly before carelessly venturing out into the world.

"I have it all figured out now," she muttered, only loud enough for the two of them to hear. "And... we'll get stronger, together." Orihime offered a weak smile, the only thing tearing at it being her leftover feelings of disgrace. "I promise."

Orihime was prompted to squeeze her Happiny into her chest when said Pokemon yipped in approval. "Wahhh, Ayame! You're so kind..."

No matter how weak you may be physically, Orihime mused. I'll never give up on you.
https://hibiscushield.livejournal.com/749.html?view=comments#comments
!route_29","!app"]}]}}
