Despite the global recognition of multilingualism as a cognitive and cultural asset, many educational institutions in Nigeria continue to impose punitive measures on students for communicating in their indigenous languages, ostensibly to promote proficiency in English. Drawing on existing literature and psychological theories, this article highlights the negative impacts of such practices, proposes alternative approaches that embrace linguistic diversity, and underscores the importance of preserving native languages. It also provides recommendations for parents and educators to foster an environment where children can learn and value multiple languages, including their mother tongue, without fear of reprisal.

This article delves into the nuanced understanding of the decolonization process, analyzing its importance in the reclamation of African identity and autonomy. It outlines strategies for decolonization that encompass education, language, cultural resurgence, and psychological liberation. Through a comprehensive review of literature and theoretical frameworks, this study contributes to the discourse on African decolonization by proposing integrative approaches to liberate the African psyche from colonial legacies and foster an environment of self-determination and indigenous development.

This chapter gives a brief overview of cryptographic techniques and protocols. Given the often limited complexity and power of RFID devices, much effort has been devoted to devising so-called "lightweight" cryptographic techniques for such devices, and a few of these are considered in this chapter. Even public key techniques to provide services such as identification and digital signatures have been proposed for some scenarios involving RFID devices, although such devices will obviously require significant computing power. While such applications are seemingly beyond currently available technology, given the speed at which technology is able to yield computational increases at reasonable cost and device size, it seems prudent to consider such protocols at this point.

Some case studies are presented to illustrate some of the major problems facing Africans today in not being able to utilize optimally the human as well as material resources endowed to us by Almighty God to enable us to render our expertise for the development of our continent Africa. This proposal includes the setting up of an International Academy of African Academics and Professionals in Diaspora (IAAPD). It is envisaged that IAAPD will have a Talent Bank which will be a database on African Academics and Professionals living and working inside African countries as well as outside with detailed information about the experts, their areas of expertise and products developed etc. Furthermore professional resource centres which will be land-based as well as cyberspace or virtual based will be set up made up of published information (journals, technical reports) and specialized research equipment/facilities available in African countries where African Academics and Professionals can have access to for their use as well as for developing upcoming African Academics and Professionals. It is envisaged that African countries will create the enabling environment through entry visa and professional short visit regulations for African academics and professionals to use their Sabbaticals, annual vacations, study/research leave, professional short visits etc. academic/ professional staff exchange to go to other African countries to render their service.

With the coming of electronic communications on computer networks, people need a way to ensure that conversations and transactions remain confidential. Cryptography provides a solution to this problem, but it has spawned a heated policy debate. Some government agencies want to restrict the use of data encryption because they fear that criminals and spies may use the technology to their own advantage. However, Encryption Techniques so far have both advantages and disadvantages to society, and issues about abuse require a formularized policy.

This topical issue is gradually becoming a big concern to various stakeholders in terms of both enticing international students to Finnish higher education and supporting Finnish labour market development and economic growth in Finland. There is very few current information available on the subsequent unemployment of graduates of immigrant background and the causes thereof. On this basis, the author has initiated a research plan in order to study the problem by investigating the experiences and difficulties in...

Borden published his 1964 article titled, “The Concept of the Marketing Mix”. Since then, this terminology has become common knowledge in the business world and has played a pivotal role in shaping most companies’ business processes and models. However, most people argued that this framework was particularly useful in the early days of the marketing concept, when physical products represented a larger portion of the economy. Today, with marketing more integrated into organizations and with a wider variety of products/services and markets, it is so astonishing and surprising that this concept is still very appropriate and relevant. In this article, I will discuss and analyse

Especially, the increasing popularity of line extensions seems to depend on advantages inherent in brand leveraging. FMCG manufacturers go into RD and the Dutch, Margarine Unie; now Unilever PLC in London, U.K and Unilever N.V in Rotterdam, Netherlands respectively. In 1872 before the merger, Jurgens and Van den Bergh, the Dutch, built factory in Netherlands for the production of Margarine made from milk and fact. In 1927, they formed Margarine Unie (margarine Union) together with two European Businesses, Centre and Schicht. Lever & Co on the other hand was founded in 1884 by British William Hesketh Lever and his brother James, and was producing soap – Sunlight soap for people in England especially for women. Those that control the information are usually seemed to be the most powerful in our contemporary society. Therefore, for the past thirty years, there has been a controversy resulting from accusation and counter accusation of imbalance flow of information from the west to south. The purported victims which are the developing nations have been raging bitterly over the news coverage of events in their continent and have denounced western newspapers, journals, and television outlets for their alleged sensationalism and anti-development bias (Legum & Cornwell, 1978). Due to this controversy, on several accounts, developing nations have attempted to engage the western nations through different channels to address the issue of global information inequality. One that may readily come to mind is the UNESCO meetings in 1969 (Sean , Elie, Sergei , & Somavia, 1980), 1974 (Mowlana, 1985), 1976 (Bandopadhyay, 2006) and 1980 (Tokunbo, 2000) consecutively, where the UNESCO group of experts on mass communication and society noted in its disturbing but revealing report that: What has come to be known as the free flow of information at the present time is often in fact a one way rather than a true exchange of information.

In retaliation, western world has equally charged the developing world of seeking to obstruct the free flow of information and insist to make no change in the information flow which they regard as a threat to the freedom to report, to print, and to broadcast news (Legum & Cornwell, 1978). This charge and counter-charge is far from abating and in fact is gathering momentum as it persists in many developing countries as they are well aware of the value of information in speeding material development and in maintaining power. In this paper however, the author will be discussing the developing world perception of new world information order, seeking to find what changes they expect from it. The essay will also attempt to identify the positions taken by these disputants by closely looking at the exchange of charges and counter-charges between those demanding balance in the news and those demanding journalistic freedom. And finally we will explore the issues underlying the dispute and attempt to proffer solutions where necessary.
