How to customize Blog Page and Single post

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> SpicePress Theme Blog Option

1. Blog Page

Here you can see all the settings related to the blog page. Here you can set the option to show the full content of posts or just a summary ( excerpt ) of each post with a read more link. You can even set the length of each excerpt. You can hide/show the meta details ( like Author, Date, comments, etc ) of the post, even you can reorder the meta details by given drag & drop settings. These settings work only for the blog page templates.

  • Choose Options: You can choose here either you want to show the Excerpt(a few contents) or the full content of the post.
  • Excerpt Length: Here you can set the length of the excerpt.
  • Excerpt Read More Button Title: You can set any name for the Read More button.
  • Hide/Show Author: Hide or show the author of the post.
  • Hide/Show Date: Hide or show the date of the post.
  • Hide/Show Comments: Hide or show the comments for the post.
  • Hide/Show Category: Hide or show the category of the post.
  • Hide/Show Read More Button: Hide or show the read more button for the post. In case if you choose the excerpt option then the read more button appears.
  • Drag and drop to rearrange: If you want to rearrange the order of author, date, and comments so you can do it by just drag and drop.

2. Single Post

Here you can see settings related to the single post. You can hide/show the meta details ( like Author, Date, comments, etc ) of a single post page. You have the option to show/hide the related posts. These settings are applying to a single post only.

  • Enable Related Post: Here you can hide the related posts by disabling this setting.
  • Related Post Title: Add here a title for the related posts.
  • Related Post Options: Choose either you want to show all the posts or show the tagged posts in the related posts.
  • Hide/Show Category: Hide or show the category of the post.
  • Hide/Show Author Name: Hide or show the author name of the post in meta details.
  • Hide/Show Date: Hide or show the date of the post.
  • Hide/Show Comment: Hide or show the comments for the post.
  • Hide/Show Tag: Hide or show the tags of the post.
  • Hide/Show Author Details: You can hide the author details of the post from here.
