Administrator guidelines
Movavi Academic For Teams offers additional functionality to the Movavi Academic software that you already know and love. With this version, you’ll be able to manage team license activations in your Movavi Account. Note that the regular educational version does not include volume management capabilities; send an email to [email protected] to request the correct version.

As an administrator, you can:
  • Keep track of the licenses assigned to your email, including the number of available seats.
  • Give users access to the program via email.
  • Switch access from one user to another if needed.


Please note that after getting access users need to log into the program to start working. Additionally, an Internet connection is required to use the program. If there’s no connection for more than 14 days, the program will stop working until the connection is restored.
As an administrator
Logging into Movavi Account
To log into your Movavi Account as an administrator, use the same email address that you used to activate the program.

1. Enter it in the Your email field
2. Then, click the Get Code button to receive an email with a one-time code.
Here’s what this email will look like:
3. Once you receive the email, copy the code into the login page to complete the signup.
After that, you’ll be able to start sending invitations to other users via the For teams section
Viewing the licenses
To view the available team licenses, go to the For teams section. There, you can find information about free and taken license seats.

If all the seats are taken, the Invite button will be disabled. To invite a new user, you’ll need to free up a seat by revoking an invitation from one of the current users.
You can click on the license name to see all the invited users.

There are three types of invitation status:

  • New. The invitation is sent, but the user hasn’t logged into the program yet.
  • Active. The invitation is sent, and the user has successfully logged into the program.
  • Revoked. The previously sent invitation is revoked.
If no invitations have been sent, you won't see any records.
Inviting users
On the Invitations page, you can send invitations to users.

1. Click the Invite button. In the pop-up window, enter the user emails, separated by commas
2. Once you click the Invite Users button, invitation emails will be sent out, and you'll see them on the page.

Revoking an invitation
If you need to free up a seat, you can revoke the invitation from a user.

1. Hover the mouse over the user and click the Revoke button.
You'll see a confirmation pop-up window:
2. Once you confirm, the user will be removed from the invitation list. To find them, filter by the Revoked status.
This way, you can see all the users with previously revoked invitations.
Here’s what the revoked invitation email will look like:
Revoking multiple invitations
To free up multiple seats, you can revoke invitations for multiple users.

1. Check the boxes next to the users whose invitations you want to revoke. You can also select all the users at once by checking the box next to the Email column heading.
2. Click the Revoke All button. You'll see a confirmation pop-up window:
3. Click the Revoke button to confirm.
Reinviting users
You can also resend an invitation after revoking one.

1. Filter by the Revoked status to view the users with revoked invitations
2. Hover the mouse over the user you want to send a new invitation to and click the Reinvite button.
You'll see a confirmation pop-up window:
3. Once you confirm, the user will receive another invitation email. Their email won't be marked as revoked anymore.

You can also remove the Revoked filter to see the user return to the invitation list
As a user
Logging into the program
To get started with the program as a user, you need to log into the program first.

1. Open the program on your computer and enter the email address you received an invitation to.
2. Click the Get My Link button to receive an email with the login link
3. In the email, click the Sign In button to open your browser and let it launch the program.
4. Once you confirm, you can start using Movavi Academic.

If your invitation was revoked, you’ll see a message prompting you to contact your administrator.

Make sure you have a stable Internet connection to use the program. If there’s no connection for more than 14 days, you’ll receive a notification. If the connection isn't restored within three days, the program will stop working until the connection is restored.
Switching accounts in the program
To switch to a different program account, log out of your current account and then log into the new one.

1. In the Help menu, click the Log out link.
2. After logging out, you’ll see a startup screen. Enter the email address to receive another email with the login link.
