Do you (all my dear readers) believe in "instant attraction"? You see a pleasing specimen of the opposite sex, speak with said specimen for less than 2 minutes, and you know instantly whether or not you want to kiss them.
It's been said and read that a woman knows within 5 minutes if she wants to kiss (or even sleep) with a man she just meets. I, myself, have met a few men that I knew were going to matter to me, one way or another. How do I know? I don't know either!
But what of the other side? What about the people you know for several months, see regularly, possibly even date casually...does the attraction slowly build? Does it sneak up on you after spending many hours together and suddenly you see around you with new eyes?
Then there's the in-between ground. You are immediately attracted to someone (on some kind of level) but you hold off, tamp it down, actually repress it, and spend a lot of time with that person to get to know them. Does the attraction lessen? Strengthen? Does it ever really go away?
