Drinks included hanging at JT's place--where he was already pleasantly sloshed--to walking downtown to YBor Martini Bar, only to be told that the bar was at full capacity, so we would have to stand outside and wait for someone to leave. We voted to not, and headed down the alleyway to Latitudes, but with all the rain that has accumulated, there was a puddle 2 yards across the alleyway. A large piece of plywood was the means of crossing it. Em and I stared at the water, at our pretty high heels, and at JT and Sam with expressions of You've got to be kidding. Which meant: I got my first piggyback ride in years. Hee hee hee.
Latitudes was cool and breezy, thank God. Conversation about jewelry, engagements, college, law, etc. Thanks to Sam and JT, I did my frist Jaegarbomb, which tastes like cough syrup. Yeccch.
Stopped off at Zinc Bar to say hello to BigBro. He's looks mean wearing all black, surveying the crowd for any "troublemakers."
Got back to JT's, we all voted for food, so we went to Steak & Shake. Fell asleep on Sam's arm for a few minutes while waiting for food. Watched a bathroom bet in trying to land an Asian chick backfire. Met Tony the Tripod, a man rumored to have an impressive appendage. GOt home at 4 a.m.
I had a huge entry typed earlier, but my &%$**($% computer swallowed it.
F-YOU, DIAL UP! AND THE COMPUTER VIRUS!
Suffice to say: here's the abridged version.
Lots of thinking. Different levels of depression, despair, and self-disgust. Few drops of optimism and hope. Thank God for JT, MQ, and Cat.Moving might have been bad. Reasons not strong enough to make me feel justified in moving. Spent afternoon with my cousin on Monday. I'm cool to her b/c I know someone who works at Sea World and dives with sharks--so thank you jesspark for making me cool to my 9-year-old cousin.
