(Thanks to folks who are being patient with my current state of fail!!! ♥)

Maverick is doing much better. The second trip to the vet revealed the poor guy had an inflamed tooth. He got more antibiotics, a painkiller, and special food. Now he's eating, playing, cuddling and using the box somewhat normally. I think we need to take him back for a check up to make sure the tooth doesn't need pulling, but I'm not sure. Christ, but I'm relieved. For a while there I was tearfully worried!

Um. I feel like I'm forgetting something now... :taps lips, wiggles toes, looks through notes: Whatever it is? Gone. POOF. That kind of night y'all.

Sherlock is on PBS? I've got my fingers crossed for Galactica: Blood and Chrome? Netflix streaming is made of win? We're hoping to see RED on Wednesday? SPN feels schizophrenic lately? Castle is made of EPIC?

Oh! I'm hoping desperately to finish a short story in the next few days for a Narrative Mag contest. I don't know if I can do it in time for cleaning up, haha. I guess we'll see. :sighs:

So, a few days ago I shined up my evil enabling skills... And enabled B right into getting a kitten.

Part of me feels somewhat irresponsible for that. Except that honestly? It's David and I that take care of him, and chances are really good that when we eventually part ways, the little dude will head on over to B's parents', where there are plenty of other cats to be with and they'll be sure to take care of him. That is, if we don't talk him into letting little Maverick stay with the other two. Hehehe.

He's very friendly, and laid back, and the transition is going pretty smoothly for Neko and Pippin, though Pippin is having a harder time about it than Neko.

So, without further ado...

The flight went smoothly. I was feeling down (and stupid, because I forgot how to turn-on receiving Twitter responses on my phone), but my iPod was psychic and the first song up was Sounds So Good (I think? I'm doubting my ability to remember song titles now). Immediately felt better, in any case. Also started reading Handmaiden's Tale which has me intrigued so far.

Have spent a good chunk of time cuddling the kitties, devoured fried chicken, and hugged David til I'm blue in the face.

Have also gotten as caught up as I'm going to with the flist. Soooo much fic open in tabs, I will be a happy camper later while I write.

Also. It's way, waaaaaaaaay to much fun being evil to amara_m.

Now I'm going to pass out, wake up, get caffeine, and write. It's been a good day. Gonna be an even better night.
