FAQ
-
This plugin integrates TrustArc’s Consent Management Platform (CMP) to facilitate compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others. However, compliance depends on how the site owner configures consent settings, discloses data collection, and manages consent records.
To ensure compliance, verify that:
– Your consent banner is correctly configured within the TrustArc CMP dashboard.
– Your website’s privacy policy reflects your use of the CMP.
– You regularly review your consent settings to align with privacy laws.
– You implement necessary mechanisms, such as Tag Manager or other consent-aware tools, to ensure that tracking scripts and third-party services respect users’ preferences. -
You can obtain your CMP script from the TrustArc dashboard. Contact TrustArc Technical Account Manager or support if you need help.
-
When enabled, the plugin configures Google Consent Mode to adjust how Google services (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads) process data based on user consent preferences. The plugin dynamically updates consent states in the
dataLayer
, ensuring that tracking adjusts according to user selections. -
When enabled, the plugin integrates with the WordPress Consent API, allowing other plugins and themes to access and respect the user’s consent preferences. This ensures a more consistent and compliant user experience across your WordPress site.
-
When enabled, the plugin will send events using the dataLayer object.
-
❌ No, this plugin requires an active TrustArc CMP subscription. Without a valid subscription, the plugin will not function, as it relies on TrustArc’s CMP script to display the consent banner and manage user preferences.
To obtain a subscription, visit TrustArc CMP or contact your TrustArc representative.
