Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membandingkan daya buih, kestabilan buih, pH dan war... more Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membandingkan daya buih, kestabilan buih, pH dan warna tepung putih telur itik yang dikeringkan dengan metode foam drying pada level penambahan saccharomyces cereviceae (ragi) yang berbeda. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yaitu level penggunaan saccharomyces cereviceae (0%, 0,3%, 0,6%, 0,9% dan 1,2%) pada pembuatan tepung putih telur Itik Alabio. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam kecuali uji organoleptik warna tepung putih telur yang menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat penggunaan ragi (Saccharomyces cereviseae) pada putih telur berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya buih, kestabilan buih dan skor organoleptik warna, namun tidak berpengauh nyata terhadap kandungan pH pada tepung putih telur.

The waste has the potential to be used as feed for livestock, but has a low quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics, protein content and crude fiber of corn cobs with different fermentation times. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD), with five treatments. The length of fermentation consisted of 0.5.10.15 and 20 days and was repeated 4 times so that there were 20 experimental units. The results of the study The length of fermentation on corn cobs can increase the characteristic value, increase protein content and can reduce the crude fiber content of corn cobs so that it is easier for livestock to digest.

Analysis of forage vegetation of fodder in an integrated and non integrated area of palm oil plan... more Analysis of forage vegetation of fodder in an integrated and non integrated area of palm oil plantation has been conducted. The purpose of this study aimed to determine the forage vegetation under an integrated palm oil plant that is not integrated with livestock.. This study used purposive sampling observation method and analyzed by T or T-Test. The results showed that there were ten types of plants in the area of integrated and non-integrated of palm oil plantation. Paspalum conjugatum had the highest relative frequency, the highest density and the Important Value Index (INP) compared to other forages both in the integration and nonintegration areas. The results showed that the forage vegetation of fodder in the integration of oil palm showed higher yields. It was concluded that the integration of oil palm cattle could increase animal feed forage production.

For suitable nutrition according to the requirements of Alabio male ducks, it is necessary to bal... more For suitable nutrition according to the requirements of Alabio male ducks, it is necessary to balance metabolic energy and protein. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the energy and protein balance (E/CP) on the growth achievement and carcass quality of Alabio male duck. The feeding trial study was conducted in a poultry house for six weeks. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial pattern where is the first factor being metabolic energy+y level (E) consisting of E1: 2800 kcal/kg ME, E2: 2900 kcal/kg ME, E3: 3000 kcal/kg ME, while the second factor was crude protein level (CP) consisting of P1: 15% CP, P2: 16% CP, P3: 17% CP, with three replications, where each replication consisted of five ducks with a total of 135 male Alabio ducks. The observed variables were final body weight (BW), body weight gain (BWG), feed intake (FI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), carcass percentage, carcass fat, and abdominal fat. The data obtained have been analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) method. The results showed that there was an interaction between (E) and (CP), where the best results were obtained in the combination of E2P3 treatment with an E/CP ratio of 17.1 (ME 2900 kcal/kg, 17% CP), including BW at 1185.0 g/bird, BWG at 1134.0 g/bird, FI at 3563.21 g/bird, and FCR at 3.14 and the lowest carcass quality with the highest carcass percentage reaching 67.33%, and the lowest carcass fat and abdominal fat were 0.37% and 0.75%, respectively. It was concluded that the effect of E/P ration at ratio of 17.1 gives the best result on the performance of male Alabio ducks including the achievement of BW, BWG, FI and FCR, and carcass quality through the achievement of increasing carcass percentage, decreasing carcass fat and fat abdominals.

The purpose of this study was to determine the number and type of microbes from the rumen liquid of swamp buffalo, river buffalo and rumen fluid of Bali Cattle. The research material used rumen liquid from three types of livestock, namely swamp buffaloes, river buffaloes and cattle, average age of livestock + 2 years, repeated 5 replications so that there were 15 samples of rumen fluid consisting of: T1 = liquid rumen of swamp buffalo, T2 = river buffalo rumen liquid and T3 = 5 rumen liquid of Bali cattle. The observed variables consisted of pH, NH3, VFA, bacteria, protozoa and fungi. The results of the study showed that the number of microbes in swamp buffalo was more than river buffaloes and Bali cattle. It was concluded that the swamp buffalo rumen liquid had a greater number of microbes so that it had the potential as a probiotic for livestock.

The study was carried out for 4 weeks period of raising which was devided in 2 stages. In the first stage, it was used a completely randomized factorial design of 4 light colors x 3 light intensities with 4 replications with 5 ducks of each replicate, totaling 240 laying Alabio ducks. The light color was 4 colors consisted of yellow, red, blue, and green, alongside with intensity levels of 10 lux, 15 lux, and 20 lux. The irradiation method of layer ducks was 18 hours light and 10 hours dark (18L: 10D of ahemeral method). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of addition of (SOC) ® on the degree of acidity (pH) and Physical Quality at Banana Stage Silage. The research method used in this research is an experimental method using Randomized Complete Design (RAL). Treatment of SOC at concentration 0% (Control), 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3% and 0,4% with storage time consist of 1, 3, 5 and 7 day with replication 4 times. The number of samples used are 80 samples used for pH and physical quality (Color, Odor, Texture and Mushroom Existence). The treatment given in the sample is P0 = 0% SOC (control), P1 = SOC concentration 0.1%, P2 = SOC concentration 0.2%, P3 = SOC concentration 0.3% and P4 = SOC concentration 0.4%. The results showed that the addition of SOC and Lama of storage significantly affect the pH value and the smell of banana tree silage. The best concentration is 0.3% and 0.4% with the best storage time of 5 and 7 days.

Penelitian ini menggunakan ternak kambing kacang jantan umur 10 – 12 bulan sebanyak 12 ekor dengan berat badan berkisar antara 12±1,2 kg. Metode yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 12 satuan percobaan. This study was aimed at determining the effect of zincbiocomplex and vitamin E supplementation on... more This study was aimed at determining the effect of zincbiocomplex and vitamin E supplementation on the quality of on local Kacang goats semen. Sixteen Kacang goats (males) aged 12-13 months with an average body weight of 13±1.2 kg were used. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four replications. Artificial vagina was used to collect semen from 16 Male goats. The feed provided consisted of local forages (king grass, bengala grass, legumes) plus a mixture of reinforcing feed with a crude protein content of 14%. The observed macroscopic semen, characteristics were semen, volume, pH, color. odor and consistency. Moreover. Microscopic semen characteristics observed were spermatozoa motility, Viability membrane integrity and abnormality spermatozoa. In conclusiont supplementation of zinc-biocomplek and vitamin E has the potential to improve the quality of Spermatozoa.

The purpose of this study was to determine the number and type of microbes from the rumen liquid of swamp buffalo, river buffalo and rumen fluid of Bali Cattle. The research material used rumen liquid from three types of livestock, namely swamp buffaloes, river buffaloes and cattle, average age of livestock + 2 years, repeated 5 replications so that there were 15 samples of rumen fluid consisting of: T1 = liquid rumen of swamp buffalo, T2 = river buffalo rumen liquid and T3 = 5 rumen liquid of Bali cattle. The observed variables consisted of pH, NH3, VFA, bacteria, protozoa and fungi. The results of the study showed that the number of microbes in swamp buffalo was more than river buffaloes and Bali cattle. It was concluded that the swamp buffalo rumen liquid had a greater number of microbes so that it had the potential as a probiotic for livestock.

The study was carried out for 4 weeks period of raising which was devided in 2 stages. In the first stage, it was used a completely randomized factorial design of 4 light colors x 3 light intensities with 4 replications with 5 ducks of each replicate, totaling 240 laying Alabio ducks. The light color was 4 colors consisted of yellow, red, blue, and green, alongside with intensity levels of 10 lux, 15 lux, and 20 lux. The irradiation method of layer ducks was 18 hours light and 10 hours dark (18L: 10D of ahemeral method). The variables observed were laying age, egg production and the total weight of eggs, mortality, feed consumption, FCR, and income over feed cost (IOFC). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of addition of (SOC) ® on the degree of acidity (pH) and Physical Quality at Banana Stage Silage. The research method used in this research is an experimental method using Randomized Complete Design (RAL). Treatment of SOC at concentration 0% (Control), 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3% and 0,4% with storage time consist of 1, 3, 5 and 7 day with replication 4 times. The number of samples used are 80 samples used for pH and physical quality (Color, Odor, Texture and Mushroom Existence). The treatment given in the sample is P0 = 0% SOC (control), P1 = SOC concentration 0.1%, P2 = SOC concentration 0.2%, P3 = SOC concentration 0.3% and P4 = SOC concentration 0.4%. The results showed that the addition of SOC and Lama of storage significantly affect the pH value and the smell of banana tree silage. The best concentration is 0.3% and 0.4% with the best storage time of 5 and 7 days.

Penelitian ini menggunakan ternak kambing kacang jantan umur 10 – 12 bulan sebanyak 12 ekor dengan berat badan berkisar antara 12±1,2 kg. Metode yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 12 satuan percobaan. Perlakuan penelitian terdiri : (PTA), pakan yang biasa diberikan peternak (PT1) 50% Wafer hijauan komplit + 50% PTA. (PT2), 75% Wafer + 25% R0. (PT3) 100% wafer. This study was aimed at determining the effect of zincbiocomplex and vitamin E supplementation on... more This study was aimed at determining the effect of zincbiocomplex and vitamin E supplementation on the quality of on local Kacang goats semen. Sixteen Kacang goats (males) aged 12-13 months with an average body weight of 13±1.2 kg were used. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four replications. Artificial vagina was used to collect semen from 16 Male goats. The feed provided consisted of local forages (king grass, bengala grass, legumes) plus a mixture of reinforcing feed with a crude protein content of 14%. The observed macroscopic semen, characteristics were semen, volume, pH, color. odor and consistency. Moreover. Microscopic semen characteristics observed were spermatozoa motility, Viability membrane integrity and abnormality spermatozoa. In conclusiont supplementation of zinc-biocomplek and vitamin E has the potential to improve the quality of Spermatozoa.
