Meet Hank
A working musician, recording engineer, producer, and a Kentuckian, through and through.

Kentucky Congressional District
Hank Linderman was born in Florida while his dad Gus, a Marine, was stationed there. The family moved to Louisville in 1970, and Kentucky has been home ever since.
By the time Hank was a fifth grader, his musical talent earned him a spot at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Boy Choir in New York City. He entered Atherton High School as a junior, was elected Student Council President, and started gigging two nights a week as a guitarist.
After forming his first touring band and playing venues across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee, Hank became lead guitarist for Quickdraw, one of Louisville's most successful bands of the era.
In 1983, Hank moved to Los Angeles with $3,000 in his pocket. Through years of hard work, he built a solid career as an independent musician, recording engineer, and producer, working with some of the world's most talented artists. He raised two children, Lucy and Jack, in a modest house in Culver City.
Hank never missed a year traveling home to Kentucky. Twelve years ago, he bought a place at Rough River in Grayson County. Rough River is his favorite place on Earth, and he spends every summer there with family and friends.

Coal miners, factory workers, and farmers built this country. They deserve real transition support, not empty promises.
Education & Childcare
Affordable, quality childcare and education from pre-K through college. Invest in our kids, invest in our future.
Small & Family Farms
Protect the family farm. Fair pricing, fair markets, and policies that put farmers ahead of agribusiness conglomerates.
Drug Abuse Prevention & Rehab
Treat addiction as the public-health crisis it is: prevention, treatment, and long-term support, not stigma.
Legalization of Cannabis
End the failed war on marijuana. Tax it, regulate it, expunge non-violent records, and put the revenue to work.
Infrastructure & Supply Chain
Roads, bridges, water, and a manufacturing base we can rely on. Rebuild it here, in Kentucky.
Secretary of Rural Affairs
A seat at the cabinet table for rural America — because the people who feed and power the country deserve a voice.

The Contract for Rural & Working America is a set of aspirational goals for government, built around the very specific needs of rural and working America. Implementing these will lead to more opportunity and economic security for the rest of America as well.
