About Hacktoria

All the way in the beginning, Hacktoria did "monthly story driven osint ctf". This morphed more into always-online challenges. To eventually give way to this current form, where you can subscribe to receive the CTF content directly to your mailbox.

Currently we're operated by 3 people. We do this as a hobby, and have no intention of charging money for the content. Although we do have plans for selling some swag.

What can you do here?

It's fairly simple. Just click any of the Practice Labs, or their categories, and start playing. Subscribe to receive notifications of CTF Events, Practice Labs and Blog Posts. Either of these categories can be enabled or disabled in your profile settings.

Besides that, I highly recommend joining our Discord server. We have 24/7 community challenge going on. And there's a channel to show off your badges. Which you get for completing the Practice Labs.

Story driven by nature

We create story driven exercises, overlaying fictional events, over the world around us. For the player, this means you read the briefings as if you were a "special agent".

The Overseer

The head of HACKTORIA is the Overseer. The role can only be fulfilled by a long standing team member, and after a unanimous favorable vote by all team members.

Julia Sharpe holds several degrees from both Oxford and Cambridge. Serving as high-risk negotiator and handler in MI6 for several years. She joined HACKTORIA as an analyst, quickly becoming the spiritual heart of her team mates. When the previous Overseer resigned, Julia was voted in as replacement.

Your assignments come directly from Julia. You'll find her having a profile on the website, and an active presence on social media. You can even send her an email.
