5:17 pm - Bizarre dream...

Much as I don;t like just posting random dreams here... last night's (or should I saw... Knight's?) was worth repeating.
The scene was a company-organised team building outing, similar to paintball.
It was a medieval tourney - jousting and fighting with swords and all that. I had been given a metal sword instead of plastic as I had done this sort of thing before.
Nothing really odd about that.
Except all of this took place in the Sheffield canal basin (except a bit more run down than it is now). Whilst full of water, with the lists being marked out like swimming lanes in a swimming pool, the overall effect being like if water polo really was polo played in the water.
Water jousting against against a decaying urban landscape and ,of course as in dreams, all of this seemed perfectly reasonable and normal...
Sometimes I despair at my subconscious.

Meet beforehand in the Nursery Tavern from midday for a pint or 2, or join us straight at the Botanical Gardens - look for the bunch of goths...
Bring yourself, a butler, many footmen, minions, picnic food (Or money to go to Tesco :), wine, other alcohol, silly park games, sunglasses, SPF 60 sun cream, umbrellas, waterproofs and your best goth togs!
I shall, of course, be there to defend my team's rounders victory of last year and to climb any trees that are in the way and definitely not skipping.
[*] If it is pissing it down with rain, then it is likely that we shall simply stay in the Nursery Tavern for the duration, so come there instead.
