Alba no more?

Is this the end of Alba? I hope not even though I left the party a while back after being a founding member.

I had a lot of hope for Alba at the start, not because of Alex Salmond being involved, he made many mistakes along the way, but because I felt that we needed an alternative to the SNP. I also felt that Alba, and ISP, should be one party.

Alba were always going to be up against it, we knew that from the start.

They got little to no press coverage, the SNP hated them, and while some Alba and SNP members made the relationship between parties more difficult than it needed to be with the accusations of hatred by Alba members, that the plan was to destroy the SNP, in my experience, were just not true.

Like all parties, egos always get in the way, from the leaders of the party to members who felt that they deserved the spotlight, it is so sad that parties are destroyed by assholes with agendas. There were also serious issues with strategy, I never agreed when Alex Salmond pushed the SNP 1 Alba 2 strategy, I got the logic, there was never any way that the SNP would go with that. The hatred that the SNP leadership, especially Sturgeon, had for Alex Salmond meant that there was no way that the SNP would ever stop trying to destroy him, he had more faith in the SNP than I ever did, I also suspected that Alex would go back to the SNP in a heartbeat if they would have him.

The more that comes out about Murrell and Sturgeon makes it even clearer why the SNP had to keep up the war against Alex, and Alba, Alba were always up against it from day one.

I left Alba because of the strategy, and the egos of certain people. I am now finished with political parties, I will not be a member of another one in future. Our political system is broken, but the leadership of political parties demonstrates clearly why everything is a bin fire in Scotland, and the UK, they are ran by egos, phycopaths, greed, and criminals.

I do think there is a place for an alternative to the SNP, I think there needs to be an alternative. My own preference would be for those in the alliance for independence, and for Alba to join up with ISP if that is possible. One alternative party, Alba as a name is probably past now, ISP if accomodation can be found, if the egos can be filtered out of our politics is something that I could support.

There are planks, and there are planks

An(a)s Sarwar – is most definitely a plank of wood. You can’t get much worse than John Swinney, a man that makes a Buddhist Monk look like a raver, Sarwar, save me.

A FURIOUS Anas Sarwar accused a BBC journalist of “reading off a script” when asked if his failed call for Keir Starmer to resign “solidified” the view that Scottish Labour is a branch office.

Honestly, this man thinks we are all buttoned up the back. At least, his political suicide note last week has ended what passes for his political career here in the colony. It is amazing with English Labour in Scotland types that once they know it is over they seem to have an epiphany on their views.

“I care about one place, my loyalty is to one place, my priority is to one place – that’s my home, Scotland. If you look at the disaster that we’ve got in our country right now, Scotland, I cannot fathom the third decade of the SNP in power.

Wow, Scotland is now his country, what a turn around from his usual pish. The hypocrisy of these people is a huge part of what makes Scottish politics a bin fire, not to mention that people like Sarwar have just zero political ability to do what is right.

Sarwar won’t be missed once he manages the branch office to their worst result in the history of the devolved regional council at Holyrood.

Tired, Unlucky, Oh Well

I suppose – the Dees only have themselves to blame to a degree. I was surprised to see the same line-up for the 4th match in a row now, but Dundee started well, 2-0 up in 5 mins with Simon Murray getting back on the scoresheet after a while, we looked like we were cruising.

Dundee started to sit deep, Livi started to get more of the ball, a horrible deflection off Dhanda, Livi were back in it. McCraken then had a bit of a howler to concede the equaliser, 2-2. To be fair, Livi worked hard and possibly deserved to get back in it, Dundee were tired though, I was surprised not to see Digby start in place of Cotterill, also thought we would see Monstma for Graham, it is what it is. Tough games to come for the Dees, right in the play off battle. It was also baltic as the day went on.

Big Game Today (Fitba)

Big Game Today – at Dens Park. If the Dees can take 3 points today that would put them 15 ahead of bottom Livi, and pretty much mean the worst that can happen is the relegation play off spot for the Dees this season.

While they have been playing some really good football the last couple of months, picked up some points, the problem is still they just do not score enough goals when they are on top in games, that could well be their downfall.

Steven Presley has done an amazing job to turn things around since the dire football we were having to endure at the start of the season, if they can find a way to hit the back of the net then they can really start looking upwards rather than over their shoulder, especially with Kilmarnock starting to find a little bit of form.

I am going to have a wander up to the match with my brother now that the rain has stopped at last in Dundee. Hopefully, it will be a decent game, not too baltic, and a DFC win.

Where is Independence?

I was having a wee think the other day, yes I know not a good thing for anyone who has ever accidentally come across this blog, but bear with me.

I appreciate that the May election for the regional Cooncil elections hasn’t really kicked in yet, we are getting wall to wall Starmer, Labours links to paedophiles, and the Windsor family not being far behind, with a bit of Anas Sarwar committing political suicide live on lunchtime news, but where is independence? Is it still a priority for people?

Independence is still the big issue that will determine my vote, if I make one, in May. Currently, you would think there is no urgent desire for Scottish independence, I wondered if Liberate Scotland was a thing for people, the few folk I spoke to hadn’t heard of it, fair enough, but hated the word Liberate, it was not how they saw Scotland, or their place in the UK.

Things are not good in Scotland, or the UK right now, Labour are finished bar the shouting, Farage as PM of England and the colonies is on the way, poverty is the new pandemic, unemployment is growing along with job insecurity, inflation and cost of living still a huge burden on most people, so it would be fair to think that independence would be getting screamed from the rooftops, at least from the SNP, nope.

I don’t apologise for my own personal apathy right now, I not only think that Scotland is F, I think the world is F, I am though not the only one out there. When I chat to old farts like myself at work, the common themes tend to be I want to retire, I hate working in the public sector now, I don’t envy young people for what it is to come for them, the endless list.

More than three quarters of those I spoke to are not planning on voting in May, myself included, yes I know that opens the door to unionists, and Reform, but when the perception is that independence is dead, that even the main party of independence appear to have given up on the cause then what hope is there when all people have to vote for is decline, or racist decline, poverty, cuts.

There is no Great Britain, the economy is on life support at best, but just stagnation since 2008. No one really gives a shit what Great Britain has to say on anything, if they ever really did, but GB is a diddy concept now. Inequality is as bad as it has ever been, and getting worse by the day, public services have been hollowed out, fewer staff who are stressed to breaking point, less and less provision, and never-ending falling standards, as I noted the cost of living crisis feels never ending like the rain, and pride.

You might think pride is a strange one to throw in there, but is it! I don’t see myself as proud to be Scottish, even less to be considered British. I am embarrassed by both to be honest. I see Scotland as being full of cowards infected by ignorant people who are happy to blame Ingerland for most of their woes while being unwilling to do anything about it, 2014 will always go down as a national stain, and national shame, for myself. An opportunity to actually change the world, change our immediate world, our communities, it was hope.

Where is that hope now, where is the independence now? Without properly thought out, planned campaigning, then May is going to see a low turn out because why should you vote when all you are voting for is decline.

Doomed, and it won’t make a difference either way

Starmer the genocide enabler – is allegedly under pressure because one of Labours own got caught with his pants down, as well as, possibly being a traitor but only because he got caught.

While some Labour MPs are calling for Starmer to go, some think he will last until Labour get hammered in May, the question is. Will it make a difference?

England, and the colonies, are such a basket case I just don’t think it makes any difference if the Walking Dead Starmer goes, someone else comes in until England imposes Farage on us. People who don’t think Farage can win may well need to remember that England imposed Boris Johnson on the colonies.

Anas Sarwar, the Scottish Labour leader, has come out in support of the prime minister, saying Starmer should keep his job

What will Scottish voters do in May, vote for real independence candidates or just bury their heads in the sand while asking for more.

40 Billion Pounds – There you go folks, the cost of keeping our colonisers, and quislings in the luxury they believe they are entitled to while they feather their nests and betray good old Ingerland to the highest bidder, or anyone with an Island.

You can’t make up the shit show that is England, and the colonies.

No wonder people like myself, and some people I know, are seriously thinking about giving up voting. Democracy in England, and the colonies just does not exist, Farage is on the way, our 90-minute patriots will have a moan and still vote for the same pricks. Sorry, but the more I learn, the more I get closer to my voting days being well and truly over because it just does not matter voting when you live in Scotland.

These Wankers

Have no country – only greed, lies, zero decency. So Labours Mandelson was encouraging the paedophile Epstein to encourage American Banks to challenge UK tax law when he was the business secretary in a Labour Government, the plan being to deny the UK tax revenue that would partly go towards services etc.

Honestly, I hate these people, I really do. Hate is a horrible word, but people like Mandelson infect all the so-called main English parties, they could not give a shit about you or I, they don’t have countries, or loyalty to the people they serve (rob blind), they only have loyalty to themselves, their bank balances, and what else they might get up to with the likes of Epstein.

Mandelson should be in jail if the stories are true that he was encouraging other countries to act in the worst interests of his own, operating against his own country, how is that prick any different from a spy.

All the Epstein files should be released, all the names made public, Windsor should be arrested and sent to America to answer questions, Mandelson should be investigated here, every one of those pricks should be facing the same justice we would have to face, we all know though, in this corrupt shithole of a union, you get the justice you can afford, and people like Mandelson and the Windsors, will be protected by their own kind. The UK is just disgusting in every way, it is a toilet stain on the world, and on decent people.

Bit of a Bore Fest (Fitba)

A bit of a bore fest – but an important point all the same. Each side a couple of chances, St. Mirren had a man sent off, both are the lowest scorers in the league, however, a point at St.Mirren is a good point and means the Dees are 12 clear of Livi at the bottom, I think that should be enough to keep them out of automatic relegation, there is a long way to go though.

Fitba

If the Dees can win away from home today – it will go a huge way to ensuring that they are still in the Premier League next season with Steven Pressley proving myself, and a lot of Dee fan well and truly wrong.

Dundee FC actually have a decent record against St. Mirren recently, but they are a good side, they have signed players, so even a draw would be a great result today. I am assuming the game will go ahead, as the West Coast hasn’t been getting the biblical rainfall that we have been seeing in Dundee for the best part of two weeks now. Away the Dees.

WAR

What is it good for – nothing.

What is it with those pricks that they must have their war, we all better hope that Iran caves in or before too long Starmer will be committing young men and women from the four nations to their potential deaths.

Now, do you think this is about potential nuclear weapons, and protestors, or is it about

coal, sand, OIL, chemicals. Look, many regard Iran as a horrible state, a state that denies its own people rights, especially women, but it is up to the Iranian people, no matter how difficult, to fight for their own country, their own Islamic Republic, what that looks like.

In the Middle East everything that America has touched has turned to shit, Iraq, Syria, Libya, to Afghanistan, and you have hundreds of thousands of deaths, destruction, with no democracy, worst countries in so many ways than they were under dictators.

Bookies in America think it is 50/50 that the US strikes Iran before Sunday, worried enough that the markets are spooked, no wonder so many people just don’t vote any more, it is always the mad men and women, the psychopaths, the narcissists, the nutters, who rise to the top, and it is the poorest who will suffer the most.
