Refunds and Returns Policy for GrumpyGit.uk

1. The Grumpy Gist (The No-Nonsense Summary)
Look, we want to be fair, but we’re not running a charity. This policy is simple:
- Digital Products (Tokens & Subscriptions): These are generally non-refundable. Once you use a token, that’s it. We can’t put the AI’s brainwaves back in the box. If a tool flat-out breaks and eats your token, we’ll make it right. If you just don’t like the brutally honest truth the AI gave you, that’s on you.
- Physical Products (Merch): If we ever sell physical stuff and it arrives broken, we’ll sort it out. If you just change your mind, you’ve got 14 days to let us know, but you’ll have to cover the shipping.

2. Digital Products: Subscriptions & Analysis Tokens
This is the core of our service, so please read carefully.
a) TopUp and Analysis Tokens (Bundles and Subscription Allowances):
- All Sales Are Final: Once purchased, TopUp Token bundles are non-refundable. Analysis Tokens granted as part of a monthly Subscription are also non-refundable.
- No Refunds for AI Analysis: We do not offer refunds for tokens that have been used to run an analysis. The service is considered consumed the moment you receive the AI-generated report. Disagreement with, or dislike of, the analysis provided by the AI does not qualify for a refund.
- Technical Failures: If you use a token and the tool experiences a verifiable technical failure on our end (e.g., the site crashes, no report is generated), preventing you from receiving your analysis, please contact us. We will investigate, and if we confirm the fault, we will restore the spent token(s) to your account.
- Please do note that our tools are specifically designed to only charge your token balance on successful completion of an analysis and all transactions are logged.
b) “Insider’s Circle” Subscriptions:
- Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period): In line with UK and EU law, you have a 14-day “cooling-off” period from the start date of your first subscription. You can cancel within this period for a full refund, provided you have not used any of the services (i.e., you have not spent any Analysis Tokens).
- Waiving Your Right: By using your first Analysis Token, you acknowledge that you are receiving the digital service immediately and you agree to waive your 14-day cancellation right.
- Renewals: All subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are non-refundable. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your “My Account” page, which will prevent future charges, but we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the current billing period.
3. Physical Products (The “Just-in-Case” Merch Clause)
Should we ever decide to sell physical goods like T-shirts or mugs, the following terms will apply.
- Returns for Changed Minds: You have 14 days from receiving the item to notify us that you wish to return it. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition you received it. You will be responsible for paying your own return shipping costs, which are non-refundable.
- Exchanges for Defective or Damaged Goods: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you receive a faulty product, please contact us immediately at
