I prefer a toolkit with a few examples of how to use it. If there is setting I prefer lightly sketched ones. If a setting is preexisting I feel I have difficulty meeting the expectations of my players, unless by chance they are not already familiar with it.

In the example map above, it looks like it would take 47 weeks to travel from Oshan to ULMO. Would a typical sector take nearly a year to cross?

Have you run campaigns where players travel to multiple sectors ?

But back to setting. I like notional settings that reflect the rules goals and give an indication of implementation. They give me a starting point that I can leverage or choose to diverge from to suit my own intended use of the system. I think pushing Thousand Suns at your already differentiated target demands some kind of example setting to carry those newcomers to the system excited by the different focus to a place they can engage from without the weight of developing all that and marketing to their players as well. To be honest the more you post here on development thoughts the more I'm interested in seeing more of your interpretation in setting. Consider me teased.
