Hello, and welcome to the semi-official home of Grizzly Bear on Livejournal.

If you haven't already done so, please meet the band -

(I love this picture :D Guess who? Left to right: Dan, Chris T, Ed, Chris Bear.)

Here at From Brooklyn With Love we have been stalking following Grizzly Bear since before their first full-band album, Yellow House, which was released in autumn 2006. Alot of us are baffled but completely delighted at the popular success of Veckatimest. We are, as ever, dedicated to the sharing of news and opinion regarding the guys, and generally try to act as a hub for information and media regarding all things Grizzly.

We now also generally represent and show love for Daniel Rossen's sporadic duo project, the Department of Eagles -

The other 50% of the Department of Eagles is Fred Nicolaus. The Department of Eagles is a project which has certainly been overshadowed by Grizzly Bear in terms of media coverage, but they do tend to stick their heads over the parapet every now and then to release something marvellous into the world and before sinking back into the mist again. Worth watching out for.

As a community, we have no particular rules - just keep it friendly and show love :D

All the best,
