Gabriella
Kezia Gabriella is a character illustrator and animator with a background in art direction and design. Through dynamic and bold compositions she explores the joy and drama of everyday life situations, emotions and stories making use of geometric shapes, layers and textures. As well as co-founding and running illustration lab and store ANTINORMAL, Kezia collaborates with a range of Global clients, including Apple, Nike, The Washington Post, WeTransfer, and The New York Times, along with many more.

I love adding a burst of energy into my artwork, whether it's through lively gestures or subtle animations, it's like my characters suddenly come to life and each of them have their own distinct personality.

There's something incredibly freeing about working with ink—you finally have to let go of any kind of control over your artwork and purposefully invite those delightful little mistakes and accidents to happen.

Designing characters is like being a mime artist—you have to use expressions, movements, and gestures to tell a story. But I love to take it a step further by cranking up the theatrics – think wider heads, longer legs, and limbs that defy logic.
