Agnes
Jonas
Agnes creates ethereal abstract compositions, beautifully balancing contrasting notes of light and shadow, soft and strong, reimagining botanical forms and morphing organic shapes. Embracing intuitive ways of working, Agnes is often influenced by music, emotions and atmosphere.
Having trained as a graphic designer before following a career in fashion styling, Agnes brings together multiple creative influences. Her illustration work can be seen in beautifully printed magazines and newspapers, including Serviette magazine, The New York Times and the Washington Post to name a few.

"
My work is about finding a balance between contrasting ideas, represented by soft, flowing biomorphic shapes within an atmospheric weightless depth.
"
I’m drawn to portraying opposing sensations — being at the edge of contrasts like light and shadow, gentleness and harshness.
"
I work digitally, usually starting with a loose idea and letting it evolve organically. I don’t stick rigidly to sketching or detailed planning – I like to leave space for accidents and unexpected shapes.
