In a continuously developing IoT environment, companies try different approaches for predictive maintenance as a solution to reduce costs and the frequency of maintenance activities. Such an environment can natively foster predictive maintenance as it integrates information from different equipment to derive insights and predictions. This paper proposes a deployment model for predictive maintenance approaches on industrial equipment by processing and analyzing their audio signals. Proper maintenance scheduling is necessary to prevent business costs and maintain the equipment in operational capability. The authors propose a system architecture to make predictive maintenance applicable in different industrial scenarios. The implementation exploits deep learning neural networks to detect anomalies and further classify them into categories. These machine learning ...

The purpose of this paper is to argue about reasons for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) to adopt open source enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The objective of this paper is to present and analyse findings in articles about proprietary ERPs and open source ERPs. In addition, a investigation of the distribution channel SourceForge for open source is made. Cost is the key driving factor for organizations considering using Open Source ERP, especially ongoing maintenance and support. This can be questioned and the main conclusion is that costs seem to have a second-ary role in adoption or non adoption of open source ERPs. The findings presented are of interest both for developers of proprietary ERPs as well as SMEs since it is shown that there are reasons other than costs involved when deciding on ...

Th... more Virtual teams are used more and more by companies and other organizations to receive benefits. They are a great way to enable teamwork in situations where people are not sitting in the same physical place at the same time. As companies seek to increase the use of virtual teams, a need exists to explore the context of these teams, the virtuality of a team and software that may help these teams working virtualy. Virtual teams have the same basic principles as traditional teams, but there is one big difference. This difference is the way the team members communicate. Instead of using the dynamics of in-office face-to-face exchange, they now rely on special communication channels enabled by modern technologies, such as e-mails, faxes, phone calls and teleconferences, virtual meetings etc. This is why this paper is focused on the issues regarding virtual teams, and how these teams are created and progressing in Albania.

It consists of Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. Websites or web systems can also be designed, developed and deployed by using the Microsoft.Net platform. The person who works on them, may choose any platform based on the advantages and disadvantages that they bring. Open Source platforms are good alternatives for application and technology development even for Albanian Businesses: mostly for SME (Small and Medium Enterprises). The aim of this study is to address questions related to the usage of LAMP recently in Albanian companies. Some of the questions included are: which of these technologies is used mostly and why, how does their choice affect the efficiency and quality of their work, etc. A questionnaire is written by us and it is answered by programming companies or other companies which have a programming department in their structure for e.g. Eagle Mobile, Vo...

The main goal of our work is to check if Web Services are also a trend in Albanian institutions and companies. This survey attempts to give an overview of the development and spread of this way of communication, the technologies used to build up these services and the applications for which these services are necessary. However, this article demonstrates that a lot of work still needs to be done in this area, because in Albania, mainly in the state institutions, Web Services solutions are not widely used.
