TARA and NEST - AI-Powered Support for Fellows
Teach for India Fellows in under-resourced classrooms face intense demands with limited access to timely support. Teach For India partnered with Gooey.AI to explore how AI could provide immediate, personalized teaching guidance at scale.
Using Gooey.AI’s low-code platform, Teach For India piloted WhatsApp-based AI agents—NEST and TARA—to support Fellows with lesson planning, reflection, and classroom decision-making. The pilot demonstrated how thoughtfully designed AI tools can strengthen teacher practice, and improve classroom outcomes across diverse learning contexts. Insights from both pilots were later brought together into a unified AI agent—ClassMate AI.
