Photogrammetry has traditionally been a “tool of the trade” in the arsenal of the surveyor-engineer, serving the need for accurate spatial/geometrical documentation. Photogrammetry in the past was a complicated and labour intensive process, which was available only to a small circle of experts and which had a specific scope of applications, with a heavy focus on cartography. The aforementioned «expansion» has been triggered by the advent of digitization, in specific, by the digital sensors and the automation of the calculations & techniques involved in the photogrammetric process. The constant development of computer algorithms, alongside the improvement of the necessary hardware, has greatly amplified the efficiency and affordability of digital photogrammetry. Nowadays, it can potentially offer its benefits to a much wider audience, including experts from different disciplines or even non-expert users. For this process of “dissemination”, the soft- & hardware availability does not present itself so much as a problem, as “public awareness” & practical, technological know-how do. At this evolutionary point, there is a great need for widespread information on the potential of digital photogrammetry and more importantly, for theoretical & practical training of the new user groups. > This effort is a (very) small step in this direction.

With a constantly changing threat landscape, practical solutions such as best-practices are employed, but the number of critical cybersecurity-related incidents remains high. To address these concerns, the National Cyber Security Centre published a Cybersecurity Body of Knowledge (CyBOK) to provide a comprehensive information base used to advise and underpin cybersecurity learning. Unfortunately, CyBOK contains over 1000 pages of in-depth material and may not be easy to navigate for novice individuals. Furthermore, it does not allow for easy expression of various cybersecurity scenarios that such individuals may be exposed to. As a solution to these two issues, we propose the use of a playing cards format to provide introductory cybersecurity knowledge that supports learning and discussion, using CyBOK as the foundation for the technical content. Upon evaluation in two user studies, we found that 80% of the participants agreed the cards provided them with introductory knowledge of cybersecurity topics, and 70% agreed the cards provided an interface for discussing topics and enabled them to make links between attacks, vulnerabilities and defences. CCS Concepts: • Security and privacy → Human and societal aspects of security and privacy; • Applied computing → Education.

Our methodology includes interdisciplinary Serious Game co-design with coders and aims to produce critical reflection on participants’ own coding practice. To encourage this we created a series of Small Provoking Games (SPGs) about the project’s three overarching topics (Code Security; API Security; Security Lifecycle) and five co-produced themes (Coder Practices; Code Motivation; Morality; Resources; Communication). Games and play are well-suited for creating both reflection-in-action and reflection-on-action. Provoking a lasting change in attitudes towards secure coding practice requires dialogic or inquiry-based reflection leading to transformative reflection We define a ‘provoking game’ as one that uses the techniques of reflective game design to produce cognitive and affective challenge – a eudaimonic appreciation of the player experience. This emphasises a player’s...
