Idea: generate each variant of icons with a "badge"

There is a lot of inconsistencies with icons that have badges attached, for example there is cube-plus, but no cube-edit, while there is for example photo-edit, database-edit... It would be great to have base icon with cutout for a badge, and all badges separately, and generate all badge variants with a script.

Maybe the similar approach could be made for "off" icons, but i think it's more complex.
