Alt + tab and "Super + XX" key combinations do not work inside VMware Workstation VMs under Wayland

When using a vmware workstation VM, I am not able to send alt+tab and Super+XX key combinations inside the VM. They get interpreted by the host.

Host system: Arch Linux

Gnome-shell version: 1:3.38.4-1

Mutter version: 3.38.4-2

Wayland version: 1.19.0-1

Wayland-protocols version: 1.20-1

I have tried the following gsettings:

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-allow-grabs true

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-grab-access-rules "['vmware']"

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-grab-access-rules "['vmware-vmx']"

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-grab-access-rules "['Vmware']"

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-grab-access-rules "['vmware','Vmware']"

The output of the xprop WM_CLASS command when clicking the running Windows VM vmware window is:

WM_CLASS(STRING) = "vmware", "Vmware"
