Thanks for doing this. It's something I've been meaning to do as well.
A more sophisticated workflow to consider would be what @pierlon has done for the AMP plugin which I've recently adapted for the PWA plugin: https://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/pwa-wp/blob/develop/.github/workflows/build-test-measure.yml
But we can explore that later, since right now the plugin lacks a lot of the automated tests that would make it relevant.

Since travis-ci.org is no longer running builds and I personally have reservations about migrating to travis-ci.com. So let's go with GitHub Actions!
