Several separate commits, targeting the style changes needed to hide large algorithms and examples, have stylistic frames for internal slots, etc.
First only style related changes, then adapted the existing changes in main, then applied indentation and fixed make errors.
Also needed to sync some fixes that have open PRs in the main branch.
