Thank you @adamrogas for this suggestion! I like the change better than the suggestion in #20. However, could you help us to figure out (over at #20) why this is necessary in the first place? What's so different inside the container that we need some special handling at all? |

When github mounts container images, they do a number of things to ensure the home directory maps, unfortunately it is not enough and other scripts and programs do not follow their lead. This enables the user to override the environment variable to resolve that issue.
