This is step one for passing the mode (cw, phone) to WLGate.
Tested with WLGate RC and 1.1.6 - it's backwards-compatible.
once this is merged, i'm going to implement the modeswitch to the Gate.
BTW: Little benefit. one can "filter out" digi-modes by typing in
!digiinto the searchbox.
