Description
The current minimizing behavior can be confusing in some situations:
-
Sometimes my desktop gets messy, and I press "Minimize All". WLGate disappears, and I get confused if it's actually running or not. This is somewhat counter-intuitive since no other ham program does that, as far as I now - they stay in the taskbar. Perhaps the minimize-to-tray behavior should be configurable? I know it's useful for some people and some cases, but for others (like me - running a menagerie of different programs that talk to each other) it can add confusion to an already very unstable setup. I bridge flrig to hamlib to omnirig, I wish I was joking... every program decides to use its own damn protocol. But I digress.. ;D This behavior also really confuses users of our clubstation - they are not experts at using the software and they can't understand why it looks like it's not running, and won't start.
-
Attempting to start the program when it's already running yields no results, the spinner next to the cursor spins for a split second but no GUI pops up - I click and nothing happens; I have to summon the program from the system tray instead. This I would say is an actual bug.
