I would like to be able to index a code base through an ssh session.
Currently, the code base indexing does not get triggered or does not detect a remote code base when I ssh in to a remote repository.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

After some more usage, it would seem like the code editor (like the built in diff viewer where I can edit the code) doesn't work on remote connections.

Additional context

My use case is that I use a thin client to connect remotely to a more powerful desktop where I actually do my work. I normally just use VSCode to ssh into workstation and work there.
