Describe the solution you'd like?

When I type "ls", I get a list of the files and folders in the current folder. Clicking on one gives me a pop up menu of (very few) operations. But also click right gives me a different menu.
Confusing, just have one menu of ops, and
just have HOVER over the item pop up THE menu of all operations.
Next: new items on that menu:
- show permissions, file size, owner etc as "help" about the file so I don't have to type ls -l. this aren't clickable but just for info.
- put "rm" on the menu. (with confirmation)
- for folders, put "cd" to that folder on the menu.
- for the current folder shown as the first line in a block,
have a pop up menu on that containing
   - info showing the full path. ie foo/bar/baz
where if you click on any part of that path, it will cd
  to that directory.
