Gimp 2.10 crashes #601

Gimp crashes with the following error
gimp: LibGimpBase-WARNING: gimp: gimp_wire_read(): error
babl-memory.c:114 babl_malloc()
Eeeeek! Assertion failed: `size`
Assertion failed: size (babl-memory.c: babl_malloc: 114)
gimp: fatal error: Aborted
