It's been a while since 4.0-beta and there's been some fixes merged so @candrews proposed we cut a beta2 release.

• Fix failing tests (see comments below)
  • Merge driver doesn't work on Debian-based systems #1384
  • Make tests pass on the updated testing infrastructure #1400
• Make sure VersionPress is compatible with Gutenberg – Support WordPress 5.0 (especially Gutenberg) #1387 this will require more effort, postponing...
• Update dependencies (there are some npm audit warnings right now) Update frontend dependecies #1418
• Update GitHub projects
  • Rename project no. 3 to "4.0-beta → 4.0-beta2"
  • Create a new project for post-beta2 issues. Project no. 4.
• Create a milestone for beta2. Maybe later
• Write release notes Add 4.0-beta2 release notes #1426
• Tag the version, build the release.
• Publish it 🎉
