Competing projects like Echarts have the ability to create surface plots and other 3D visualizations. Is this something which might be considered in a future version of Vega? I want navigate through Vega-powered 3D scatterplots in VR!

I know this is a little crazy and probably a ton of design and implementation work, but getting a prototype could maybe be a cool GSoC project?
