User Story

Picking up #1313 and #1272, this Issue tracks complete implementation of oscal-version property (including value comparison) in the XSLT-based profile resolver. This requires supporting Semantic Versioning.

When complete, this functionality will be validated via unit tests.

Goals

• Complete and test implementation
• Merge working code into develop
• Provide top-level unit testing cf [EPIC] Update XSLT profile resolver to current specification #1076 and Profile Resolution Requirement Driven Unit Tests #1087 (over rebase) - either merged, or on track to be merged

Dependencies

TBD: clarify dependency between merging this code and merging unit tests now in working branches.

Acceptance Criteria

• All OSCAL website and readme documentation affected by the changes in this issue have been updated. Changes to the OSCAL website can be made in the docs/content directory of your branch.
• A Pull Request (PR) is submitted that fully addresses the goals of this User Story. This issue is referenced in the PR.
• The CI-CD build process runs without any reported errors on the PR. This can be confirmed by reviewing that all checks have passed in the PR.
