I noticed that the included Laravel app is on version 11.37.0. It would be nice to have a fresh install of Laravel 12 to tinker around with.

You could maybe include both v11 and v12, and including the latest versions when you do releases.
Or even better, letting the user update both versions via a button in the UI.
