Data scientists
Well, I got news for you, pigeons are smarter than artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. So why bother becoming a data scientist and applying AI and machine learning algorithms? Because demand is high, unless pigeons take over.

They try to make sense out of the soup (source). From big data interpretations (what does that mean?) to self driving cars to language recognition, cancer research, image classification, credit analysis, emerging trend analysis to paranoids monitoring. Anything that can be solved with statistics, visualizations, machine learning and AI applications.
The table below lists some of the data scientist salaries, KDNuggets has a more realistic breakdown according to cost of living, location and experience, see salaries by location.
| Job Title | Salary |
|---|---|
| Facebook Data Scientist | $135,098 |
| Twitter Data Scientist | $134,861 |
| Microsoft Data Scientist | $117,846 |
| Airbnb Data Scientist | $119,110 |

They actually work everywhere, insurers, banks, software companies (Yahoo, IBM), 6 people at the government, universities, start-ups. Plus in case you did not receive the memo also for TensorFlow. Below are a few random examples of some of the largest employers of AI and ML artists.
