• TeX distribution: texlive (mactex)

Expected behavior

All characters should be visible.

Actual behavior

Fullwidth numbers & letters and CJK characters under "article" and xeCJK package become invisivble in the internal pdf viewer, no matter what load strategy or render backend I choose. But it works very well with ctex package, or xeCJK package with a specify font (like IPAexMincho or FangSong_GB2312).
