As reported in #5950, the upgrade to slf4j-api 2.x in release
1.17.4was a breaking change. This PR does a rollback to the previous slf4j-api version1.17.36.Reverts the following PRs:
#5794, #5942, #5875, #5848, #5794, #5791
We can keep #5948, since it is unrelated to users and logback-classic 1.3.x is still compatible with slf4j 1.x.
