What happened?
At one time a few versions back it was possible to right click on a RX filter button and set the low and high edges. Now in version 0.9.4 only the high edge can be changed. One way to change the filter low edge is to drag the low edge of the filter in the spectrum window and that is not persisted or associated with the button that was originally pressed for that filter width. Also it is difficult to select the filter, or the tuned frequency since they are so close in the spectrum. Often the tuned frequency is selected instead of the low filter edge. The other way to set the low filter edge is to drag the low edge of the graphic in the RX Controls window but again that is not persisted. It is also very difficult to use a mouse since a slight movement moves the value in huge increments.
What did you expect?
The ability to set the low and high edges of the RX filter and have them persisted. Also to more easily set the low edge in the RX Controls app by using the mouse, or clicking in the box that the low edge value is displayed and typing in the desired low edge. That low edge value should show a negative sign if the filter is lowered below the tuned frequency. Now it is always shown as positive even if the filter is below the tuned frequency
Steps to reproduce
- Right click filter button, only the high edge is available to set
- click on the low edge of the filter in the rx controls window and drag or use mouse wheel
- Try and select the low edge of the filter in the spectrum window, often the tuned frequency is selected by mistake
