Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe
systemd v257 introduced an option to create fully locked system accounts. Arch Linux is updating existing sysusers definitions in packaging to make use of this new feature in this todo list. This works well when a user installs a new package but for existing packages the /etc/shadow entry is not updated
Describe the solution you'd like
I would love a way for existing users to get automatically upgraded to fully locked accounts if the .syusers changed.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Arch Linux packages could install a scriplet which updates the locked status manually.
The systemd version you checked that didn't have the feature you are asking for
257
