Hi, I'm Andrew.

I'm a maintainer for Behat, the PHP Behaviour Driven Development tool. Along with the other maintainers, I review PRs and issues, support users, and contribute fixes and features.

At the moment, I'm mainly working on preparing for a new 4.0 release of Behat, and improving parity between Behat's own Gherkin parser and the official parsers provided by the cucumber/gherkin project.

For my day job, I founded, own & run inGenerator, a small company based in Scotland that builds technology for arts and cultural organisations. We open source and share as much of our work as we can - mostly PHP libraries which you'll find on my company's Github page.

I have been contributing to open source for nearly 20 years, across a whole range of projects. I'm one of those people who always tries to send a PR rather than open an issue, so you'll find my smaller contributions lurking in quite a few different repositories - mostly PHP, though some others too!

Outside of work I am a Beaver Leader (Scouts for 6-8 year old girls & boys) - I seem to be one of those people that keeps volunteering for stuff 😆
