Successfully installed with and without all variants on macOS 10.13.4 with Clang 9.0.0.
I couldn't find a way to disable the
libtiffdependency, at least with the Autotools build. They also have a CMake build but I didn't mess with it. TheREADMEinstructions use Autotools, so I assume it is the recommended installation technique.
