The feature was introduced in #6355, which outputs network-test logs into files to help with debugging and I have found it to be quite useful.

However this was removed when we moved to tracing in #6339, likely because the whole thing needs to be re-implemented. It would be great to have this feature revived to help with network-test debugging on CI.
